The MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard is expected to open to the public in the 2027/28 financial year, from April 2027 to March 2028. An exact launch date has not been confirmed.
That is the current plan, rather than a guaranteed launch window. The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions will decide the date, taking account of testing and whether the service is safe, secure and effective.
If you want an early look, you can currently sign up to help test it, subject to the testing requirements.
As of 24th October 2026:
No. It is the deadline for pension providers and schemes covered by the rules to connect to the system, unless they have an approved deferral.
Connection allows them to respond to dashboard searches and supply pension information. It does not, by itself, open the dashboard to everyone. Whether a particular pension appears also depends on matching your details and the information available.
For more on how the service finds pensions, read pensions dashboards explained.
Testing helps the Money and Pensions Service understand how people use the dashboard and where they need support. It also checks how the service and connected systems work as more people use them.
The aim is to make sure the service meets users’ needs and can operate securely and reliably.
During testing, some pensions or figures may be missing. Our guide to reading your pensions dashboard results explains what the information means and who to contact if you need help.
Yes. You can currently sign up to test the MoneyHelper Pensions Dashboard if you are 18 or over and have not started taking money from all your pensions.
This phase of testing began on September 1st 2026. After signing up, you will usually receive a personal access link within an hour. You then prove your identity before searching for your pensions. Testing is free, and you do not need to transfer a pension to take part.
The government has committed to giving the pensions industry at least six months’ notice. That commitment is to industry, rather than a personal notification period for every saver.
Check the official MoneyHelper and Pensions Dashboards Programme websites for announcements about public access.
MoneyHelper will launch first. Other organisations regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority will be able to offer dashboards later. The expected MoneyHelper launch window should not be treated as a launch date for every dashboard.

If you do not know the provider, the government’s free Pension Tracing Service can help you find contact details. It does not confirm whether you have a pension or what it is worth.
